Calendars: Get Your Kids Organized

Ring in the new year with a calendar-making exercise. To focus on short-term goals for the new year (not those abstract new year’s resolutions) have your students make a calendar for January. They can draw the grid, add the numbers, draw a picture on the top, everything including a large space at the bottom for their personal academic goals for the month. Incorporate the calendar into lesson plans throughout the month to build organization skills.

Supply the calendar template yourself by downloading our free calendar grid blank. It’s in available with 5 or 6 rows and is minimalist for maximum learning and flexibility: Free Quick Custom Calendars – Download PDF
