Procedure:
1. Write this list of words on the blackboard: Christmas, Santa Claus, tree, gifts, snow, holiday.
2. Have students write a short story about Christmas without using any of the words on the board.

Variations/Options: Don't allow any synonyms of the words either; add to your list of words depending on age group; pick your own list of unrelated words for them to USE in their writing.
