Burn Off Energy in a Positive Way:    By now your kids will be close to bouncing off the walls in anticipation of Christmas vacation. To use up some of that energy, try having a discussion about care homes then let your kids draw large, colorful pictures on the topic of, say, Christmas greetings to our older, wiser citizens. Locate a nearby rest home to send them to, or pick a topic and group of your choice.
